It was a pivotal moment that not only redefined my career path but also laid the foundation for a fulfilling life where I could utilize my skills and strengths to help others.
    Growing up, I always thought the best route to stability was a traditional 9-to-5 job. Through high school, I worked as a cashier at a boots and western wear store until I graduated. At the age of 18, I worked as a veterinary technician, earning minimum wage while also assisting at my grandmother's convenience store. Eventually, I landed a job as a dental assistant, but I knew that wasn't where my career path ended. I was highly motivated and inspired by my family to earn the things I wanted in life. I was fiercely independent and determined to have my own mark on the world.
    When I was growing up, my father worked in the car service industry and, all the while, became a savvy real estate investor. He invested in properties over the years, eventually enabling him to retire from his blue-collar job and secure a strong financial future through strategic investing. He created these opportunities for himself by putting in the work to build a better life. My stepmom was also very successful as the CEO of a major hospital, demonstrating how much can be achieved with the right mindset and work ethic.

    My mother worked for 20 years as a first responder, serving and saving others. Throughout her life, her resilience and kind heart demonstrated to me that one can overcome anything life throws their way. She is the ultimate example of finding a path forward, no matter the obstacles. Additionally, my grandmother was an entrepreneur who set yet another example of what was possible with the right determination and passion for one's work.

    When a friend told me about her real estate career, I realized that for much of my life, I had been around it, learning the importance of property homeownership and what it took to be an entrepreneur. It would not be an easy path, but I knew if I could make it work, it would be the most rewarding career. In 2015, I took the leap and became a licensed REALTOR®.
 Real estate offered limitless possibilities where my goal was not just personal success, but helping people achieve their dreams, building relationships, and creating an enjoyable experience. I love everything about real estate, from working with clients and solving problems to investing and staying current on market trends.
 The decision to pursue real estate led to substantial changes in my personal life as well. Knowing the value of homeownership, my husband, Josh, and I prioritized building our dream home. We both worked very hard and built successful careers, allowing us to achieve this huge milestone! When our daughter, Eva, was born, the stability and flexibility I found in my job allowed me to balance motherhood with professional growth. We want to build generational wealth and a legacy we can pass on to her one day.
 Driven by the desire to offer similar opportunities for growth to others, I opened my real estate brokerage, Sterling and Southern Real Estate Co. Starting this business was about more than just expanding my professional reach; it was about creating an environment that supported and empowered agents. I structured my brokerage to prioritize low fees and high support, ensuring that my agents had the necessary tools to succeed without undue financial pressure.

    It has been immensely rewarding to watch agents flourish under a system that champions their welfare and clients achieve their goals through our guidance and support. Real estate has been more than a career for me; it has been a vehicle to achieve my goals, provide my family with opportunities, and help my agents and clients do the same!
    When not working, we spend quality time together as a family and love being outdoors. For us, it is the simple things in life that bring us the most joy!
    As a Broker/Owner, my goal is to create an inviting environment for my clients and my agents. I built my business on repeat and referral clients, and now, as my team continues to grow, I hope to do the same with new agents who join us. Whether it is recommending Sterling and Southern Real Estate Co. to family or friends looking to buy or sell, or suggesting us to someone starting a real estate career, I want people to think of us first.     As an agent, my approach to real estate is centered around personal connections and tailored services.
